Rock and Pop

Tony Brooke was the multitrack audio recording engineer for a Twenty One Pilots concert video project at the Fox Theater in Oakland on October 17th and 18th, 2015. Stephen Pride assisted the recording. There have been three releases from this project (follow links for tech details and clips):

In January 2016 the full-length concert video "Blurryface Live" was released, and it was broadcast on MTV Live (formerly the Palladia Network).

Two tracks were released in April 2016 as the limited edition audio EP "Double Sided."

The show was also released in November 2016 as the limited edition 3-LP vinyl album "Blurryface Live" which hit #18 on the Billboard Alternative Albums chart and reached #28 on the Billboard Rock Albums chart.

This recording happened during major success for Twenty One Pilots. The band's 2015 studio album "Blurryface" had entered the Billboard 200 chart at #1. Their track "Stressed Out" reached #2 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and was #1 on various Billboard genre charts.

Their world tour began in May 2015, and by the time of this Oakland recording in November, they packed the house with screaming crowds for two nights.

This project was a mic-split, 48-track, 24 bit/96 kHz multitrack audio recording using a 48-track RADAR V Nyquist recording system. For details, visit the entries for each release in Silent Way's Discography:
