Alesis ADAT XT20 vs LX20

I have been thinking of buying an Alesis ADAT, and I wasn't sure whether to get the XT20 or the LX20. Have you any advice, and if I were to get the XT20, would I have to buy the BRC remote just to run a single XT20 or two XT20s if you understand. Thanks.

The main difference between the XT20 and the LX20 is that the LX20 does not have balanced +4 analog in/out. Also, the LX20 A/D/A converters are of slightly lesser quality. You do not need the BRC to sync multiple ADATS together (of any variety).
