USB / Printer problem
Hi everyone,
Hope one of you can help with this.
My girlfriends parents recently bought a printer scanner copier, all in one (hp psc 2175) but couldnt conect it to their computer as it didnt have a USB port, anyway they bought a plug and play USB card and I put it in for them, but the problem is the computer doesn't recognise it. Is there some specific place I have to go in the control panel (or elsewhere) to get it to recognise it? Their OS is 9.1

What manufacturer made the USB card? Did it come with software?
I assume from your post that the computer is not recognizing the card at all. (Not that the computer sees the card and any other USB device, but not the printer.)
This is out of my league, you'll have to find out the manufacturer from your point of purchase, and then contact the manufacturer for support. Here's a likely starting place:

Did you try changing cards around in different slots? This used to be a fix for sound cards so it might work in your situation.
Thanks for getting back to me so quick, no, the comp isn't recognizing the card at all and it didn't come with any software, it just said plug and play and Mac compatible, unfortunatly all this happened last week and I can't find the box it came in. I will take it back out of comp. and look at it and get back to you on that one.
