I foster music through technology. My goal is to solve problems in music content management and media technology. I have been responsible for music creation, reproduction, distribution and broadcasting for many audiences totaling hundreds of thousands of people. My work has empowered music creators, entertained audiences and built successful businesses. I have excelled in every stage of music creation and broadcasting: as a producer, engineer, webmaster, webcaster, FM program director, DJ, teacher and musician. Technology can be used as a powerful tool or an ineffectual crutch. I build tools out of crutches, making music happen.
Project Producer, Systems Consultant, Chief Engineer - SILENT WAY (1993-present)
• Founded independent technical service company to provide computer and audio systems engineering, consultation and training. Predicted and profited from a decade of drastic industry shifts within the diverse Bay Area music community.
• Developed, built and wrote all copy for silentway.com, a (390,000 word) music and technology site which generates 300,000 hits per month and a 59% gross margin. Developed the Appropriate Stream, TastyCast.com streaming radio guide, The Ultimate Tracksheet, hearnet.com partners directory, bayaud.org, the Silent Way Forum and thirteen more domains.
• Used niche-marketing methods to capitalize on two untapped markets with one set of assets. Served both rental and remote recording markets with customized system of classic and digital recording equipment.

• Developer and author of The Ultimate Tracksheet. Beta Tester under NDA for large and small technology companies. Technical consultant to all major North CA recording studios, including Skywalker Sound, The Plant, Fantasy and Hyde St. Studios.
